We have three homely all-wooden cottages - finished Jan 2001 - set on Calfurray beach itself and no more than 30 metres from the water's edge. These cottages have a lovely view of the lake but are partly  screened from the view of people using the beach by the native trees that surround them and offer welcome shade in the height of the  summer.

Calfurray is a working estate where visitors can freely join in with the fun of tending to our alpacas. For those who prefer a less active way to observe the Chilean wildlife, there is a wide variety of fauna in and around Calfurray. Rabbits and foxes can be seen in the woods and there are many different birds to be seen, from the 'goose-like' bandurrias and the 'falcon-like' tiuques, to the small chilean green parrots known locally as "Choroyes" and "Cachañas" and the tiny hummingbirds, all of these and many other birds visit Calfurray throughout the year. 

The above is particular to Calfurray, but the area as a whole also has a lot to offer. Not far away there are several thermal baths and the ski slopes of the volcano (open from July to September/October), are within 30 minutes drive from Calfurray. Rafting and fishing activities can be arranged with the operators in nearby Pucón village. For those of you looking for a touch of civilization in the heart of the countryside, Pucón boasts a cinema and a casino and several of the hotels offer shows and concerts right through the year.
